ON THE SCORESHEET

- Ryan Massa made his first AHL start turning aside 16 shots in the game for the victory.

- Sam Carrick picked up his third goal of the season, the game winning goal, four minutes into the second period.

- TJ Brennan recorded two assists and he remains second in AHL scoring by defencemen with 17 points in 18 games.

- Mark Arcobello assisted on the opening goal, his sixth power play point and 13th of the season.

- Matt Frattin collected an assist on the second Marlies goal and he now has a three game point streak.

- Richard Clune assisted on Frederik Gauthier's goal, his first point since returning to the Marlies from the Toronto Maple Leafs.

- Frederik Gauthier recorded his second goal of the season.

- Andrew Campbell recorded his second assist in as many games.

NOTABLES

- The Marlies allowed a season low one shot on net in the first period. They also allowed a season low shots in the game (17).

- Justin Holl was a +1 and continues to lead the Marlies in +/- at +13.

- The Marlies have now scored on the power play in eight straight games, improving to 17.6% on the year (13th in AHL)

- The Marlies remain first in the North Division and second in the Eastern Conference.

- The Marlies return home for a match-up against the St. John's Ice Caps, their first of five games at the Air Canada Centre this season.
