Providence Bruins News Release
Providence, RI - The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins delivered the P-Bruins a crushing 3-0 loss to secure their 9th consecutive home win this season.
Conor Sheary got the Penguins on the board 18:22 into the game. Mouillierat fed Sheary with a give and go pass, who was able to bury the puck to give the Penguins the 1-0 lead.
The Penguins took advantage of Seth Griffith's second penalty of the game to double their lead in the second period, scoring a power play goal 8:13 in. Mouillerat put the puck past Subban for his second point of the game, assisted by Wilson and Kostopoulous.
Noel Acciari had the closest chance of the period, firing a shot on net in the final seconds of the second, but Murray robbed Acciari with the most impressive save of the game.
Dominik Simon fired the puck towards the far post to put the Penguins up 3-0 with 4:13 left in regulation. McNeill was credited with the helper.
The Bruins pulled the goalie with 3:17 to go, but still couldn't manage to find the back of the net.
The Penguins outshot the P-Bruins 24-15 the first two period of the game, but Providence surged back in the third to hold the advantage in shots on net 14-6.
The P-Bruins are back at home Friday December 4th against the Portland Pirates.
