Flames Recall Ladislav Smid from Stockton Heat

Calgary, AB - The Calgary Flames announced today that they have recalled defenceman Ladislav Smid from their American Hockey League affiliate, the Stockton Heat.

Smid, a native of Frydlant, Czech Republic, has played just four games with the Flames this season after injuries cost him 51 games in 2014-15. Smid played one game for the Stockton Heat during his conditioning assignment.

DRAFTED: ANA - 1st round, 9th overall, in the 2004 NHL Entry Draft

ACQUIRED: Trade from Edmonton with Olivier Roy for Laurent Brossoit and Roman Horak.
