
Americans Edge IceCaps in Shootout

Rochester, NY - The IceCaps fell to the Rochester Americans 4-3 in a shootout at the Blue Cross Arena Friday night.
Morgan Ellis, Daniel Carr and Michael McCarron notched a goal each to come back from a 2-0 deficit. With just 20 seconds left in regulation, Colby Robak snuck one past IceCaps net minder Zach Fucale to send the game to overtime.
After five minutes of back and forth overtime play, the game was decided in a shootout, with Jason Akeson scoring the lone goal to claim the win for the home team.
Forwards Tim Bozon, Luc-Olivier Blain, and defenceman Jarred Tinordi all made their IceCaps debut. Captain Gabriel Dumont stretched his point streak to four games (1G-3A) while Mark Barberio picked up assists on all three goals of the night, earning the game's second star.
