
Toni Daniels Named Director of Sales

KALAMAZOO- The Kalamazoo Wings have hired Toni Daniels as their new Director of Sales. Daniels will be in charge of all aspects of the K-Wings sales force, including implementing new and exciting ways to engage community businesses to the hundreds of thousands of guests that come though Wings Stadium and Wings West each year.
A perfect fit to southwest Michigan's only professional sports team, Daniels was born and raised in the area. Growing up in Vicksburg, Daniels graduated from Vicksburg High School and then continued her schooling at Kalamazoo Valley Community College. Following KVCC, Daniels transferred to Western Michigan University, where she earned her degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Management.
"I love this community and I'm excited to work for an iconic organization like the Kalamazoo Wings/Greenleaf Hospitality Group," said Daniels. "We both have a passion for making our community a better place to live and I am looking forward to expanding our reach throughout the region."
Daniels has a very extensive background in customer service /experience capacity and joins the K-Wings from Southwest Michigan First where she was the Chamber Executive Vice President. With Southwest Michigan First, Daniels led the efforts to grow small business in the Chamber of Commerce.
"It was my opportunity to start to give back to the community that has meant so much to me and my family," said Daniels. "My dad was a small business owner so I understood the needs of business's desire to learn, grow and build relationships."
Daniels has also spent time in the financial community, working as the Branch Manager for Fifth-Third Bank and PNC. Toni was also the Sales and Service Support Manager for PNC, where she was responsible for partnering with Regional Managers and Branch Mangers in 42 branches throughout southwest Michigan to create a customer centric banking experience.
"I am pleased to have Toni join the Kalamazoo Wings organization," said Michael Oswald, Vice President of Food and Entertainment. "She has a wealth of knowledge in culture building and strategic planning."
Daniels knows that using what she accomplished and learned with her previous experience will help increase the fans experience at Wings Stadium.
"I believe in relationships based approach to winning fans, customers and friends," said Daniels." It's important to know the person you are serving whether it is by knowing their family, their occupation or their recreation."
Daniels passion for her community also leads to volunteer work for areaon-profits. Toni currently serves on the boards for Kalamazoo Literacy Council, Buy Local Kalamazoo and President of the Trikats Triathlon Club.
Toni is also co-fund raising chair for the Kalamazoo Promise 10 year anniversary committee and Event Chair for the 2015 March of Dimes Signature Chefs Auction to be held on October 15th at the Radisson Plaza Hotel and Suites.
Knowing what it takes to achieve a goal, Daniels is an athlete at heart who has completed several triathlons including a full distance (140.6 miles) Ironman in August of 2014 in Louisville, Kentucky. Daniels has also competed in half-marathons and full marathons .
