The K-Wings will start the week on Wednesday, March 4th for a 7:15 p.m. (CST) encounter versus the Evansville Fuel. The K-Wings are 2-1-0-0 against the IceMen, who being the week in seventh place (13-35-4-2, 32 points) in the North Division.

Kalamazoo will begin a home and home series with the Fort Wayne Komets this Friday, March 6th with a 8 p.m. face-off at Allen County Memorial Coliseum. On the season, the K-Wings are 4-6-0-1 versus the Komets, who start the week in first place (36-12-2-4, 78 points) in the North Division.

The K-Wings will return home this Saturday, March 7th, with a 7:30 p.m. face-off versus the Fort Wayne Komets during Autism Awareness and Special Olympics Polar Plunge Night presented by Sam's Club and supported by Consumer's Credit Union. The Polar Plunge will occur this Saturday from 2-4:30 p.m. on the Wings Stadium ice, with registration beginning at 1:30 p.m.

The K-Wings will conclude the week on Sunday, March 8th with a 3 p.m. faceoff versus the Indy Fuel during a Family Hockey Day in the 'ZOO. The first 500 kids (ages 12 and under) will eat FREE and receive a giveaway item. Family's can also make their experience special by visiting the face-painters and taking a snap shot at the FREE photo booth. Following the game the K-Wings will host a post game skate with the players, presented by United Healthcare (skate rental if needed is $3). The K-Wings are 1-1-1-0 against the Fuel, who begin the week in fifth place (23-23-4-4, 54 points) in the North Division.

INDIANAPOLIS - Ludwig Blomstrand supplied two goals, but the forward's contribution couldn't overcome a third period outburst by the Indy Fuel, as the Kalamazoo Wings dropped a 5-2 decision Wednesday night.

Friday, February 27th Vs Toledo Walleye (Kalamazoo 8-Toledo 3)

KALAMAZOO - Matching a season-high for goals in a game with eight, the Kalamazoo Wings snapped a three-game losing streak in convincing fashion by disposing of the Toledo Walleye 8-3 Friday night at Wings Stadium.

TOLEDO - A night after the Kalamazoo Wings opened up their offensive arsenal against the Toledo Walleye, the Walleye returned the favor by defeating the K-Wings 7-4 at the Huntington Center.

Kalamazoo has six of their nine shorthanded goals this season on the road. The six road shorthanders tie the K-Wings for second most in the league.

Joel Martin has been logging in a lot of minutes. Dating back to January 30th, Martin has appeared in 17 straight games for Kalamazoo.
