
Brampton's Painchaud Named CCM ECHL Player of the Month

PRINCETON, N.J. - Brampton Beast forward Chad Painchaud has been named the CCM ECHL Player of the Month for February.
Painchaud scored 17 goals, including four game-winners and three on the power play, and added three assists for 20 points in 11 games during the month.
The 28-year-old had five multi-goal games, including four hat tricks, in February. He posted hat tricks in back-to-back games, scoring four goals in a 5-0 win at Rapid City on Feb. 13 and tallying three times in another 5-0 victory against the Rush on Feb. 14, becoming just the ninth ECHL player in the last 18 seasons to post hat tricks in back-to-back contests. He closed the month with hat tricks in two of the final three games, scoring eight goals in a four-game span.
A native of Mississiauga, Ontario, Painchaud is fourth in the league with 26 goals and is 15th with 54 points.
Painchaud has recorded 369 points (157g-212a) in 394 career ECHL games with Brampton, South Carolina, Chicago, Reading, Victoria, Charlotte, Bakersfield and Gwinnett. He has also appeared in 47 career AHL games with Chicago, Iowa, Manitoba and Norfolk.
