March 4, 2015 - ECHL (ECHL)
Stockton Thunder News Release
Boise, ID - The Stockton Thunder, owned by the Calgary Flames and proud ECHL affiliate of the NHL's New York Islanders and AHL's Bridgeport Sound Tigers, sees defenseman Keith Seabrook traded in an American Hockey League deal between the Bridgeport Sound Tigers and Rockford IceHogs.
Seabrook, 26, is in his first season with the Sound Tigers organization after signing a two-way AHL deal in the offseason. The defenseman out of Delta, British Columbia has played exclusively for the Thunder this season and has scored 7 goals and added 20 assists in 51 ECHL games this season.
The defenseman joins the organization his brother plays for as the IceHogs are the AHL affiliate of the Chicago Blackhawks. Keith's brother Brent Seabrook is a two-time Stanley Cup winning defenseman with Chicago.
After being drafted in the second round, 52nd overall in the 2006 NHL Entry Draft by the Washington Capitals, Seabrook played 186 games in the AHL with the Abbotsford Heat, Manitoba Moose and San Antonio Rampage. He had played 9 previous games in the ECHL with the Cincinnati Cyclones before playing for the Thunder this season.
In 2012-13 Seabrook went to Italy to play with Val Pusteria before taking a season off during the 2013-14 season.
The Thunder return home for the final three games of the year against the Idaho Steelheads on March 13, 14 and 15. For tickets call (209) 373-1500 or visit StocktonThunder.com.
