Toledo Waleye Make Roster Moves

(Toledo, OH) - The Toledo Walleye and head Coach Nick Vitucci announced today that defenseman Tyler Gotto has been traded to the Bakersfield Condors. This completes an earlier trade when defenseman Jason Lepine was traded to Toledo on December 10th.

Also today, forward Evan Rankin returns from his loan to Grand Rapids and the Griffins have reassigned forward Willie Coetzee and defenseman Sebastien Piche to the Walleye.

Rankin returns to Toledo after appearing in 10 games with the Griffins. Evan scored one goal with one assist in Grand Rapids. Prior to going to the AHL, Rankin scored 12 goals with 12 assists in 30 games with the Walleye.

Coetzee returns to the Walleye for the second time this season. Willie appeared in three games earlier this season with Toledo and collected 3 goals and 1 assist. In 25 games with Grand Rapids, Willie has collected 5 assists.

Piche is back with Toledo after collecting 1 assist in 10 games with the Griffins. Sebastien has skated in 20 games this year with Toledo, collecting 3 goals and 10 assists.

Gotto, in his first professional season from Niagara University, has appeared in 35 contests with the Walleye with 4 goals and 8 assists.
