Brandon Coccimiglio Signed by Aces

The Alaska Aces have signed forward, Brandon Coccimiglio (pronounced KOCH-ih-MILL-ee-oh) to an Amateur Try-out Agreement (ATO), Head Coach Brent Thompson announced on Friday. Coccimiglio has played in two pro games this season, after playing collegiate hockey at Mercyhurst. The Aces host the Bakersfield Condors on Friday in the first of three straight games between the clubs this weekend. Tickets are available for all three games. Coccimiglio, 23, played three and half seasons of hockey at Mercyhurst College before turning pro midway through this season. In 111 collegiate games, Coccimiglio had 77 points (35g, 42a). Last season as a junior, the Burlington, Ontario native tied for the club lead in goals with 14, and finished second on the team in points. Prior to joining the Aces, the 6'2", 210 lbs. left winger appeared in two games for the ECHL's Greenville Road Warriors.

The Aces and Condors open the post-All-Star segment of the schedule on Friday in a promotion-filled weekend. This Friday and Saturday the Aces are hosting their 2nd Annual Men's Wellness Fair, presented by Alaska Urological Institute. On Friday night, early arriving fans to the game will also receive the second set this season of U.S. Army Aces Player Cards. Featured players include Chad Anderson, Ethan Cox, Adam Courchaine, and Alex Dzielski. Additionally this weekend, the Aces are expecting their 100,000th fan of the season. With nearly 89,000 Aces fans in attendance already this season, this weekend the 100,000th fan to enter the arena will win 25,000 Alaska Airline Miles, a GCI GSM handset - including two months of free service, and an Aces team autographed GCI warm-up jersey. The lucky fan is expected on Sunday. Make sure you're there for your chance to win. Finally, on Sunday fans 12 and under will receive Aces/Burny the Bear t-shirts and Boomer coloring books, courtesy of the Department of Public Safety. The game begins at 5:05pm, and following the contest, fans can Skate with the Aces at the Sully.
