Berube and Prough Return to Trenton

Trenton, NJ - The New Jersey Devils have reassigned forward Jean-Sebastien Berube from Albany (AHL) to Trenton (ECHL), while forward Jeff Prough was returned on loan to Trenton by Albany. The announcement was made by Albany and Trenton General Manager Chris Lamoriello.

Berube, 20, comes back to Trenton after playing seven games for Albany since December 31. In 25 games for Trenton earlier this season, the Matane, PQ native has registered eight goals and 10 assists, to go along with 40 penalty minutes. In his first pro season, Berube's stats include two game-winning goals, and his first career two-goal game against Toledo December 19. Originally drafted by New Jersey in the seventh round of the 2008 NHL Entry Draft, the 6-3, 195-lb. left-handed shooter was born July 20, 1990.

Prough, 24, returns to Trenton after playing two games with Albany, a season after he appeared in eight games for the Devils' AHL affiliate in Lowell. Prough has 13 goals and 13 assists in 37 games with Trenton this season following back-to-back 30-goal seasons in 2008-09 and 2009-10. In 160 career games with Trenton, Prough has netted multi-goal games on 15 occasions. The 5-10, 170-lb. right-handed shooter was born April 20, 1986.

Trenton begins a stretch of four road games tonight in Toledo at 7 p.m.
