Las Vegas Wranglers News Release
Las Vegas, Nev-Head Coach and General Manager Ryan Mougenel took a break from leading the Western Conference's top team this week to lead goaltender Michael Ouzas and the ECHL All-stars to a 9-3 victory over the Bakersfield Condors.
The All-Stars tallied the first three goals of the game and never looked back while Ouzas turned away all six of the Bakersfield All-Stars attempts in the first frame. Ouzas was the only goalie in the contest to stop all shots he faced as Idaho's Tyler Beskorowany tallied the win allowing two goals on fifteen second period shots. Wheeling's Patrick Killeen allowed one goal on eight third-period shots for the ECHL All-Stars. Bakersfield's Josh Tordjman took the loss, allowing nine goals on forty-one shots in the complete game.
There was only one penalty in this season's All-Star match going to Kalamazoo's Steven Tarasuk. Thunder rookie forward Mark Arcobello was named the most valuable player of the match when he tallied his hat trick in the second period. Wranglers' defenseman Barry Goers had the opportunity to suit up for Bakersfield to help fill in an injury-laden roster, registering one assist and one shot on net.
Rabobank Arena saw 7,397 in attendance for the 19th annual ECHL All-Star game.
The Wranglers and Mougenel now get ready for a three-game set in Victoria with the Salmon Kings starting tonight. The Wranglers return home to host the Stockton Thunder for the first time this season on Tuesday, February 1st. The puck drops at 7:05 pm.
The Las Vegas Wranglers® are the ECHL affiliate to the National Hockey League's Phoenix Coyotes and the American Hockey League's San Antonio Rampage.
2010-11 season seat packages are on sale now at (702) 471-PUCK. The Wranglers play all 36 regular season home games at the Orleans Arena, located adjacent to the Orleans Hotel and Casino at 4500 W. Tropicana Avenue.
