April 2, 2004 - ECHL (ECHL)
Trenton Devils News Release

TRENTON, NJ (April 2, 2004) - The Trenton Titans announced today the launch of their "Shots for Tots" program in association with St. Francis Medical Center in Trenton, NJ.

"We're honored to be working with St. Francis Medical Center on ‘Shots for Tots'," said Rich Lisk, President and GM of the Trenton Titans. "St. Francis has long been a pillar of creativity and community involvement. Together, we feel ‘Shots for Tots' will be the standard by which similar programs are measured."

"Shots for Tots" will keep track of the number of shots taken by the Titans during their games this season. The dollar amount equal to that total will be donated to St. Francis to support their St. Clare Medical Outreach Van, a physician's office on wheels that travels to the medically underserved in the greater Trenton region.

According to Jerry Jablonowski, CEO, St. Francis Medical Center, "Our commitment to being a healing influence in our community reflects our participation in the "Shots for Tots" program. Immunizing our community's children is enabling them to remain healthy and grow strong."

In addition, the St. Clare Medical Outreach Van will be visiting Sovereign Bank Arena in the early fall to distribute vaccines and immunizations to children attending Titans games. These vaccines and immunizations will be provided to those children whose family may not have health insurance, the family cannot afford to pay for immunizations, or the family does not have the knowledge of health care resources available in the community.

The Trenton Titans are a member of the ECHL - America's Premier "AA" Hockey League. The Titans complete their regular season schedule on Saturday, April 3 against the Wheeling Nailers at 7:30pm. For ticket information, call a Titans Ticket Representative at 609.599.9500.

St. Francis Medical Center, founded in 1874 is a member of Catholic Health East. It is an acute care teaching hospital home to regional areas of expertise including the Heart Hospital, Fox Chase Cancer Center, Neuroscience Institute, Centers for Workers Health, Sleep Disorders Center, Renal Center of Trenton and an extensive Community Outreach Program. St. Francis Medical Center is also the first hospital in the Trenton/Mercer area to achieve Magnet Recognition for Nursing Excellence by the American Nurses Credentialing Center, and has been reaccredited for another 4 years.
