
Tips Score with 16 Seconds Left to Beat T-Birds

EVERETT - Remi Laurencelle scored with 16 seconds left in the game Saturday night at Xfinity Arena to give the Everett Silvertips a 4-3 victory over the Seattle Thunderbirds.
The T-Birds had tied the game 3-3 on a power-play goal by Ethan Bear with 1:54 left in the game.
Everett is now five points ahead of the T-Birds in first place in the US Division.
Seattle (32-23-3-0) opened the scoring 3:26 into the first period on an unassisted power-play goal by Donovan Neuls. The T-Birds sent the puck into the Everett end on left side. The puck bounced off the end boards and towards Everett goalie Carter Hart. Hart stopped the puck with his stick and went to cover the puck but Neuls was too quick. Neuls poked the puck under Hart for his 111th goal of the season.
Everett (34-20-2-2) tied the game 1-1 on an unassisted goal from Devon Skoleski. The T-Birds turned the puck over in front of their own net and Skoleski scored on a wrist shot.
Everett outshot Seattle 14-9 in the first period.
The Silvertips took a 2-1 lead on a power-play goal by Carson Stadnyk at 10:49 of the second period. Matt Fonteyne had the only assist.
The Silvertips led 28-14 in shots after two periods by outshooting the T-Birds 14-5 in the second period.
Everett went in front 3-1 18 seconds into the third period on a goal from Laurencelle. Noah Juulsen had the only assist.
The T-Birds came right back and cut the Everett lead to one goal at 1:23 of the third. Ryan Gropp came down the left wing and beat Hart on the short side for his 28th goal of the season. Bear had the only assist on the goal.
On Bear's game tying goal, his first slap shot attempt was blocked. But Bear got the loose puck and put a second slap shot on goal that beat Hart on the blocker side. Mathew Barzal and Gropp had the assists.
Seattle outshot Everett 9-8 in the third period. The Tips finished with a 36-23 advantage in shots.
Seattle goalie Loga n Flodell made 32 saves on 36 shots and his record is now 18-13-3-0.
Hart stopped 20 of 23 shot and his record is 33-19-1-2.
T-Birds single game tickets for the 2015-16 season are available online at the T-Birds website and at the ShoWare Center box office. The ShoWare Center Box Office is open Monday through Friday 10 am to 5 pm Saturday game days at 10 am and Sunday game days at noon.
