Prince Albert finishes weekend with come from behind victory over Brandon

Prince Albert, SK - The Prince Albert Raiders came from behind in the third period to beat the Brandon Wheat Kings 3-2 and end a four-game winless streak on Sunday evening at the Art Hauser Centre.

For the third-straight night, the Raiders found themselves trailing on the scoreboard going into the third period. Once again, Prince Albert came out with a resilient effort to tie the score, this time earning an important win against the top team in the East Division.

Jesse Lees and Jordan Tkatch both collected a goal and an assist for two points to lead the Raiders. Parker Kelly scored the game-winning goal at the 13:14 mark of the final frame.

Brandon received goals from Nolan Patrick and John Quenneville.

Rylan Parenteau was stellar between the pipes for the Raiders as he made 35 saves on 37 shots. Jordan Papirny turned away 20 of 23 attempts.

The Wheat Kings outshot the Raiders 37-23. Prince Albert went 0-for-4 on the power play, while Brandon was 0-for-3.

The Raiders record a point for the third consecutive game this weekend and improve their record to 32-20-7-1, while the Wheat Kings drop to 37-18-2-2.

The Raiders play their next game on Wednesday, February 24 when they host the Swift Current Broncos at the Art Hauser Centre. Puck drop is 7:00 PM.
