
Thunderbirds Acquire Colton Dach from the Kelowna Rockets

KENT - TheSeattle Thunderbirds today announced the team has acquired forward Colton Dach and a fifth round pick in 2024 from the Kelowna Rockets in exchange for left-wing Ty Hurley, defenseman Ethan Mittelsteadt, a first-round pick in 2024 (Regina), a conditional second-round pick in 2025 (Seattle) and a conditional fourth-round pick in 2023 (Everett).
"We'd like to thank Ty and Ethan for their time in Seattle, "says General Manager, Bil La Forge. "We wish them the best of luck in Kelowna."
Drafted by Saskatoon and traded to Kelowna for the 2021-22 season, Dach has played in 157 WHL games and has 60 goals and 85 assists for a total of 145 career points thus far.
Dach was selected by the Chicago Blackhawks in the 2021 NHL Entry Draft in the second round, 62nd overall.
"While Colton is currently recovering from an injury, we expect him to be back well before the playoffs begin," says La Forge. "He is a big, talented center that provides us with another offensive weapon as we chase our Championship goals."
