
ICE Acquire Armstrong

The Winnipeg ICE have acquired forward Easton Armstrong from the Regina Pats in exchange for defenceman Omen Harmacy.
"We would like to thank Omen for his contributions to our team and in the community. We wish him continued success in Regina" said ICE President and General Manager Matt Cockell. "Easton is an important addition to our team, we are excited to welcome him to Winnipeg".
Armstrong, 19, from Los Angeles, California has played 121 regular season games registering 34 points (20 goals and 14 assists) along with 100 penalty minutes over the past four WHL seasons with the Pats.
The 6'3", 204 pound forward has 22 points (13 goals and nine assists) along with 42 penalty minutes this season.
Armstrong was selected by Regina in the 10th round, 214th overall in the 2018 WHL Prospects Draft. In 2019-20, he registered 102 points (59 goals and 43 assists) in 72 games with the Los Angeles Junior Kings U16 AAA team.
The ICE roster currently includes two goaltenders, seven defencemen and 14 forwards.
The ICE return to action tomorrow (Sunday, January 8) at 5:00 when they host the Portland Winterhawks at the ICE Cave inside Wayne Fleming Arena and on Wednesday January 11th when the top ranked Seattle Thunderbirds come to town.
