Kennewick, WA - Giants first rounder Cameron Schmidt scored in his WHL debut and started the comeback as Vancouver overcame a 2-0 deficit to win in overtime.

1st Period:

TC: Jordan Gavin opened the scoring when he found a rebound amid a netfront scramble 13:47 into the game.

2nd Period:

TC: Jalen Luypen buried a shorthanded goal 4:30 into the second period to put the Americans up 2-0.

VAN: Cameron Schmidt, playing in his Western Hockey League debut, scored on a partial break to get the Giants on the board.

3rd Period:

VAN: Ty Halaburda tied the game with 11:58 remaining with a snipe from the left wing.

OT:

VAN: Brenden Pentecost banked in his second overtime winner of the season just 0:20 into the extra frame to give Vancouver a 3-2 win.
