YEE-HAW: The Saskatoon Bladesgot back to their winning ways Saturday night beating the Red Deer Rebels 6-2 at SaskTel Centre. The Blue and Gold set rhythm from the start of the game as forward Lukas Hansen opened the scoring.

CRUCIAL POINTS: The victory moves the Blades within one point of the Rebels for second in the Eastern Conference. With 55 points, Saskatoon still has three games in-hand over Red Deer.

BIG GUNS STEP UP: The Blue and Gold once again were missing several key pieces in Brandon Lisowsky, Tyler Parr, Josh Pillar, and Jayden Wiens. Alternate captain Trevor Wong and Egor Sidorov each recorded three points, while Dallas Stars prospect tallied a goal and assist. Red-hot Vaughn Watterodt added his 15th goal in his last 19 games as well.

STONE COLD ELLIOTT: Another night, another outstanding performance for rookie goalie Austin Elliott. The league leader in GAA turned in 27 saves on 29 shots.

NEXT GAME: The Bridge City Bunch return to SaskTel Centre Wed. Jan. 11 as they face a rare foe in the Portland Winterhawks.
