
Thunder to Play Day-Night Double Header with Binghampton on June 13th

(Trenton, NJ)- The Trenton Thunder, the Double-A Affiliate of the New York Yankees, will play a Day-Night doubleheader against the Binghamton Mets (Double-A affiliate of the New York Mets) on Saturday, June 13th. The first game will start at 1:05 PM, with the regularly scheduled game beginning at 7:05 PM. Both games will be seven-inning contests. Trenton and Binghamton were rained out on Saturday, April 11th.
There will be separate admission for each game of the June 13th doubleheader. All tickets from the rained out game on April 11th may be exchanged for tickets of equal or lesser value to any other game remaining this season, based on availability. Trenton Thunder Season Ticket holders who had tickets for the April 11th game should exchange them for a ticket to any game remaining this season, based on availability. They will be sent a separate ticket for the June 13th afternoon contest. For further information, fans should contact the Trenton Thunder Ticket Office at 609-394-3300.
For the afternoon contest on June 13th, the first 1,000 fans (ages 5-15) will receive Joba Chamberlain Youth Replica Jerseys courtesy of TD Bank. The regularly scheduled 7:05 PM game is Special Olympics Night at Waterfront Park. There will be an on-field ceremony prior to the game, and post-game fireworks. In addition, the Community Blood Council of New Jersey will be hosting a blood drive throughout the day on Saturday, June 13. To register please contact the CBC at 609.883.9750.
Trenton and Connecticut play the middle game of a three-game series on Wednesday night from Waterfront Park. RHP Zach McAllister (1-0, 2.08) will start for Trenton against Connecticut RHP Henry Sosa (0-0, 3.00). Kids eat for free all season long at the Thunder. All children with a ticket, ages 12 and under, will receive a voucher upon entering the ballpark good for a free hot dog, bag of potato chips and a 12 oz. fountain soda at all 71 Thunder home games this season. The Thunder are the only team in Minor League Baseball history at the Double A Level or below to draw over 400,000 fans for 14 consecutive seasons and have draw over 6 million in attendance in its 15 year history.
