
Thunder Release First Glimpse of 2011 Schedule

Trenton Thunder News Release
(TRENTON, NJ) The Trenton Thunder, Double A Affiliate of the New York Yankees, released its 2011 home schedule on Monday afternoon.
The Thunder will begin the 2011 season on the road on April 7 with the home portion of the schedule starting on Thursday, April 14 at 7:05pm. The team will play their last game at home on Thursday, September 1 at 7:05pm.
Eastern League rules prohibit teams from releasing their schedule with opponents or road games until each team in the league has announced its home dates. An announcement with the full 2011 schedule is expected prior to the conclusion of the 2010 season.
The Thunder will play nine home games in April, sixteen in May, fifteen in June, fourteen in July, sixteen in August and one in September. The team will play 71 home games against 11 different opponents.
Mid-week day games will return in 2011, with the first one, a 10:35am "Educational Day" slated for Tuesday, May 3 and a second 10:35am start on Wednesday, June 1. Popular 12:05pm "Camp Day" games are scheduled for Wednesday, June 29, Wednesday, July 20 and Thursday, August 4.
The 2011 Eastern League All-Star Game will be played on Wednesday, July 13 at the New Hampshire Fisher Cats.

The Thunder are currently on a road trip to Akron and Bowie and will return to Waterfront Park on Thursday, July 15 to face the Reading Phillies in a four game series.
