Thunder Add Rene Rivera, Paul Bush Released/Wordekemper Transferred Back to Scranton

(TRENTON, NJ) The Trenton Thunder, Double-A Affiliate of the New York Yankees announced today C Rene Rivera has been added to the roster and RHP Eric Wordekemper has been transferred back to Triple-A Scranton. RHP Paul Bush has been released by the organization.

Rene Rivera appeared in 19 games for Scranton and batted .250 with three doubles and two homeruns this season. Rivera was originally drafted by Seattle in the second round of 2001 and has appeared in 53 Major League games in his career.

RHP Paul Bush appeared in three games for Trenton this season and has battled injuries. Bush was originally selected by Atlanta in 2002.

The Thunder begin an eight game road trip tonight in Akron. RHP Andrew Brackman will take the ball for the Thunder and the Aeros will counter with RHP Alex White. All the action can be heard live on 107.7 FM or online at www.trentonthunder.com.
