
Thunder Receive Baker; Gil Assigned To Tampa

Trenton Thunder News Release
(TRENTON, NJ) The Trenton Thunder, Double-A Affiliate of the New York Yankees announced today that they have received C Ryan J. Baker from High-A Tampa and have assigned C Jose Gil down to Tampa.
Baker has appeared in 15 games for Tampa this season and is 3-for-35 with 2 RBI. In 2009 for Trenton and Tampa, Baker hit a combined .200 with 2 HR and 6 RBI in 18 games played.
Gil, 24, has appeared in 31 games for the Thunder this season and is batting .236 with 5 HR and 25 RBI in 106 at-bats. Gil hit .314 in the month of June for Trenton with 2 HR and 14 RBI.
The Thunder play the third game of their four game series against the Aeros tonight in Akron at 7:05 PM. RHP Lance Pendleton makes the start for the Thunder, while Akron goes with LHP Eric Berger. All the action can be heard live on 107.7 FM or online at www.trentonthunder.com.
