Thunder defeats Thunder 3-2 in Shootout

The Bloomington PrairieThunder improves to 6-2 on the young Central Hockey League season following Saturday night's exciting 3-2 shootout victory over the Wichita Thunder (6-4-1) in Kansas. After both teams played 65 minutes of hockey, the game went to shootout where the PThunder's John Snowden scored the only goal. Bloomington goaltender Brad Phillips stopped all five Wichita shooters in the shootout. Phillips replaced starter Marco Emond 5 minutes and 49 seconds into the game after Emond was forced to leave the game with an undisclosed injury.

Bloomington's other goal scorers on the night were Anthony Ciraulo and Brian Kaufman. Newcomer Chris Cloud, who was signed on Friday to replace Matt McIlvane (recalled to Peoria / AHL), assisted on the Ciraulo goal.
