Fort Worth Brahmas News Release

NORTH RICHLAND HILLS, Texas (November 12)-A depleted Brahmas bench left the home team with just 15 skaters Friday night against the Odessa Jackalopes, but numbers meant nothing to Texas as they scored four goals in the third against the Jacks for a 4-1 victory at the NYTEX Sports Centre.

It was a costly turnover by Brahmas defenseman Jesse Dudas at the blueline that gave Odessa the one goal edge when Jeff Pierce shelved the puck over Kevin Beech at the 4:05 mark in the first. A scoreless second was the calm before the Texas offensive storm, the prerequisite for a three goal final period.

Rookie forward Tyler Allen had arguably his best game in a Brahmas sweater, proven on the scorecard as he had a hand in all four Texas goals. It all began with a goal from Calin Wild :39 seconds in with assists given to Greg Hogeboom and Allen. Two minutes later defenseman Jim Burichin followed up with his first of the season and Texas' first lead of the game.

Allen registered a goal of his own when his hustle and charge paid off in front of Michel Robinson's net for the 3-1 lead and it was an empty netter that completed the game for Texas when Mick Lawrence buried the puck with just over a minute remaining in regulation. Kevin Beech stopped 35 shots in net for his fourth win of the season.

Tomorrow night the Brahmas host the Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees for a 7:30 pm faceoff at the NYTEX Sports Centre. For ticket information please contact the Brahmas Box Office at (817) 336-4423 or visit www.brahmas.com.
