Wisconsin Timber Rattlers News Release
GRAND CHUTE, WI - The Midwest League has announced their rosters for the 2018 Midwest League All-Star Game and three Wisconsin Timber Rattlers are scheduled to participate in the contest on June 19 at Lansing, Michigan. Outfielder Demi Orimoloye has been selected as a starting outfielder for the Western Division. Catcher Payton Henry has been picked as a reserve and pitcher Dylan File also made the squad.
Orimoloye is hitting .256 with five homers and 22 RBI through his first 51 games of the 2018 season, his second season with the Timber Rattlers. Orimoloye had a nine-game hitting streak earlier this season
Henry, the #29 prospect in the Milwaukee Brewers organization according to MLB Pipeline, is hitting .311 with four homers and 21 RBI through his first 38 games of the season. Henry has also thrown out 37% of runners attempting to steal bases against him this season, the fourth best percentage in the league this season.
File is 5-3 with a 3.65 ERA in nine starts this season. He had 45 strikeouts in 49-1/3 innings pitched before being placed on the disabled list on May 26. File had a ten-strikeout performance in eight shutout innings against Great Lakes on May 11.
The teams were elected by Midwest League managers from a slate of nominees provided by the managers.
These Timber Rattlers will try to top last year's group of All-Stars. Monte Harrison was named the 2017 All-Star Game MVP after hitting two homers and pitcher Braden Webb was the winning pitcher as the West won 5-2 at Great Lakes.
