Fort Worth Brahmas News Release

NORTH RICHLAND HILLS, Texas - "Mess with the bull and you get the horns" was the message given to the Tulsa Oilers Friday night as the Texas Brahmas won the road contest 3-1.

The message was sent early to the Oilers when Greg Hogeboom netted an unassisted goal two minutes from opening faceoff. Linemate Chad Woollard joined the scoring affair at the 4:40 mark when a puck fed by Sean Hurley beat Oiler netminder Trevor Cann for the 2-0 lead in the first period. Woollard set up a goal by forward Mick Lawrence in the middle frame for a three goal lead headed into the final period.

A final surge by the Oilers offense developed in the third with a goal from Sean Erickson, but the Texas defense shut down the Oil the remainder of the game. The Brahmas came in sticks a blazing, outshooting the Oilers 44-38; Wayne Savage made 37 saves for his eleventh win of the season.

Texas returns home tomorrow night when they host the Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees for a 7:30 pm faceoff. For ticket information please contact the Brahmas Box Office at (817) 336-4423 or visit www.brahmas.com.
