CEDAR PARK, Texas - The Texas Stars, proud American Hockey League affiliate of the Dallas Stars, announced today the details of their Military Appreciation Weekend presented by Round Rock Auto Group this Friday, March 21st and Saturday, March 22nd at Cedar Park Center.

As part of the organization's ongoing support of the current and former members of our armed forces, the Stars have teamed up with some of their fans and corporate partners to purchase more than 1,500 tickets for the games this weekend. That group includes: Round Rock Auto Group, Upstage, ABC Home & Commercial Services, ASAP Electric, Bill G Spencer Consulting LP, DFD Architects, John Lewis CPA, Mark Harrill & Erin Hughes, Action Propane, Audio Video Consultations, Scott & White Healthcare, Danita Futch, Sue's Dance, Tara Kiser, Brett Killam & Family, the Canepa Family and the Moquett Family. These tickets will be given to local service members, veterans and their families as one more way for the Texas Stars to show their appreciation for the all sacrifices these brave men and women have made for our country.

Throughout the weekend former and current members of the military can show proof of service at the Texas Stars Foundation table on the concourse to enter a drawing presented by Ranger Up, a company focused on apparel for service members and patriotic Americans. Drawings will be held during both games for Ranger Up gift cards and Texas Stars prize packs, while one lucky winner will go home with the grand prize, a Ranger Up Limited Edition Liquid Metal Betsy Ross Old Glory Flag sign valued at $260. Additionally, Naval Operational Support Center Austin will have a concourse display with various giveaway items for fans as well as a Dune Buggy on display outside of Cedar Park Center's main entrance at both games.

Texas will wear special arctic camouflage jerseys for the weekend and they will auction off the game-worn jerseys to benefit the Texas Stars Foundation. The silent auction runs from the beginning of Friday's game through the end of the second intermission on Saturday night. The winner of each jersey auction will be escorted by team officials backstage where they will have their newly purchased game-worn jersey delivered by that Stars player.

The festivities begin on Friday night as the Stars welcome the Oklahoma City Barons for a 7:30 pm face off at Cedar Park Center. Friday is also a $3 Draft Beer and $4 Robert Mondavi Private Selection Wine Night. Saturday night is Texas Stars arctic camo hat giveaway night courtesy of Round Rock Auto Group as Texas and Oklahoma City battle again at 7:00 pm. Saturday's game is also a Coke Zero Family Four Pack Night and a Texas Lottery Lucky Row Night.
