Matt Montgomery put forth his longest effort as a Sun on the 2014 but didn't factor into the decision after allowing two runs (both earned) on four hits, while walking one batter in Tuesday's start.

James Nygren (W, 1-2) earned his first win of the season by tossing two innings of shutout relief, allowing two hits and a walk while striking out one Blue Wahoo in the Suns' 4-3 win.

James Leverton (H, 2) collected the hold after giving up a leadoff homer to Jesse Winker in the bottom of the eighth inning and then promptly retiring the final three batters he'd face in the inning.

Nick Wittgren (SV, 10) picked up the save for the second consecutive night for the Suns, bookending his 1-2-3 bottom of the ninth inning with swinging strikeouts.

Jamie Walczak (L, 2-4) was saddled with the loss for Pensacola after allowing two runs (both earned) on two hits in his one inning of work. He'd also finish up with one strikeout and one walk in Tuesday's outing.

The Suns rode the hot bat of Austin Nola to get the scoring going in the top of the second inning, as Nola's two-out, two-run triple put Jacksonville ahead 2-0 early.

Pensacola had its response in the fourth, using a two-out, two-run double from Ross Perez to knot the game up at 2-2 after four innings of play.

It took until the seventh for the Suns to regain the lead, scoring twice in the inning altogether. Isaac Galloway (HR, 3) led off the frame with a go-ahead solo homer to left and the Suns made it a 4-2 game following J.T. Realmuto's RBI groundout.

The Wahoos drew a run closer in the top of the eighth on Jesse Winker's (HR, 1) leadoff homer, but that would be as close as they'd get on Tuesday night with the Suns leaving 4-3 winners.

The Suns and Blue Wahoos will be back at it on Wednesday night with first pitch set for 6:30 p.m. CT (7:30 p.m. ET). The Suns will send out left-hander Justin Nicolino (7-2, 3.07) while the BayBears will counter with right-hander Robert Stephenson (3-6, 4.17).

Suns fans can listen to Wednesday's game on the Suns Baseball Network, 94.1 WSOS-FM or through www.jaxsuns.com, MiLB.com or the Suns iPhone or Android app, beginning at 7:15 p.m. ET with the Memorial Hospital Suns Pregame Show.
