CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Vaughn Grissom opened the scoring with a solo home run in the third inning, and Luke Williams capped it with a grand slam in the eighth as the Gwinnett Stripers (52-58) cruised to a 10-1 win over the Charlotte Knights (41-71) on Friday night at Truist Field. The Stripers have won six straight games for the first time since August 13-19, 2022.

Decisive Plays: Grissom's solo shot (6) off the roof of the picnic area in left field began a four-run third for the Stripers. Later in the inning, Hoy Park laced an opposite-field RBI double to left and Yolmer Sanchez lined a two-run double to the left-center gap for a 4-0 lead. Charlotte cut the deficit to 4-1 in the sixth, but Williams' grand slam (6) to left-center highlighted a six-run eighth that made it 10-1.

Key Contributors: Dylan Dodd (W, 3-5) was economical through 6.0 innings (6 H, 1 R, 1 ER, 1 BB, 4 SO), throwing just 74 pitches (56 strikes). Dylan Lee (H, 3), Ben Heller, and Grant Holmes each followed with 1.0 scoreless inning. Offensively, Williams (2-for-4, homer, 4 RBIs), Park (2-for-3, double, 2 RBIs), and Sanchez (1-for-4, double, 3 RBIs) each had multi-RBI efforts.

Noteworthy: Grissom's homer extended his on-base streak to 34 games, now just one game behind Ryan LaMarre (35 games in 2019) for the fourth-longest streak in Gwinnett history. Williams' grand slam was the eighth for Gwinnett this year, tying the club's single-season record (2019 and 2021). The Stripers have outscored the Knights 46-11 over the first four games of this series.
