Rochester, New York - A six-run fourth inning paved the way for an 8-2 victory for the Lehigh Valley IronPigs (59-50, 23-13) over the Rochester Red Wings (52-58, 18-19) on Friday night at Innovative Field.

Scoreless through the first three innings, the IronPigs started the scoring in a big way in the fourth. Drew Ellis singled with one out and then back-to-back walks loaded the bases. Esteban Quiroz cashed in with a base hit to drive in two. After a walk to Scott Kingery reloaded the bases, Cal Stevenson cleared the deck with a grand slam, his fourth homer of the season, to make it 6-0.

The Red Wings got on the board in the sixth. Cody Wilson doubled to start the inning and two groundballs moved him over and brought him across the plate.

In the ninth, Scott Kingery singled with one away and one out later Max McDowell doubled him home to make it 7-1 IronPigs. A dropped fly ball off the bat of Kody Clemens then allowed McDowell to score to make it 8-1.

Rochester got a run in the last of the ninth on a wild pitch, but Tyler McKay struck out the final two hitters he faced to finish off the 8-2 win.

Nick Nelson (5-2) garnered his second straight win for the IronPigs, working 6.2 innings, allowing just one run on five hits and a walk, striking out three.

Wily Peralta (3-7) suffered the loss for the Red Wings, conceding six runs on four hits and four walks, striking out six over 3.2 frames.
