Storm Release 2004-05 Schedule

(Toledo, Ohio) The Toledo Storm of the ECHL today released the team's 2004-2005 schedule. The full text of which, as well as a separate breakdown by variables, follows this release.

Toledo will open its' fourteenth season at home on October 22nd against the defending Northern Division Champion Wheeling Nailers. This will be the seventh consecutive season that the Storm will start at home. It will also mark the first of ten contests against the Nailers, with three coming in October. The following night, Toledo will host the Dayton Bombers. As is the case most seasons, Toledo and Dayton will get to know each quite well with ten games scheduled this season. The 2004-05 campaign sees Toledo is starting with three straight games on home ice with the third being October 29 against Peoria. The archrival Rivermen and the Storm will go head to head ten more times this year, and five of those matches coming in March and April. The Johnstown Chiefs will make their first appearance in Toledo on November 21st. However, following that contest Toledo will head to Johnstown for the next four games in the season series before hosting the Chiefs for the final four contests in the series.

This season will also mark the first time that the Storm will go west. November begins with a nine day, six game road swing that starts in Las Vegas on November 5th. Toledo will stay in Vegas for a second game on the 6th before heading to California for a Tuesday game against Fresno. Bakersfield is the next stop for the Storm on November 11th and 12th. Then it is back to Vegas for one final contest against the Wranglers on November 13th. Toledo fans will get to see two Western teams this year when the defending Brabham Cup Champion San Diego Gulls invade the Sports Arena January 30th and February 2nd. The Alaska Aces upset the Gulls in the playoffs and will be in Toledo on February 23rd.

Toledo will face three other foes this season and all will be first seen in December. First up will be the Atlantic City Boardwalk Bullies, when they come calling on December 3rd. That is the first of seven contests between the two. Trenton arrives on Friday December 10th and 11th for a weekend series. The Storm and the Titans will meet nine times in the upcoming year. Toledo has eight scheduled games with the Reading Royals, who made it to the conference final before falling to the Florida Everblades.
