TRENTON, NJ (May 25, 2004) - The Trenton Titans in conjunction with the ECHL today announced their schedule for the 2004-05 season.
The Titans will begin their 72-game season of play in the friendly confines of the Sovereign Bank Arena with their home opener, presented by St. Lawrence Rehabilitation Center, on Friday, October 22 at 7:30pm versus the Reading Royals. This game is just one of 62 match-ups against division opponents this year. The Titans will face off against their local rivals, the Reading Royals and Atlantic City Boardwalk Bullies, ten times each during the regular season with the Titans hosting five games for both series. Trenton will also due battle for nine games each with the Dayton Bombers, Johnstown Chiefs, and Toledo Storm. The Titans round out their schedule against division opponents with eight games against Wheeling Nailers and seven versus the Peoria Rivermen.
The Titans will play host in 2004-05 to the Bakersfield Condors and Long Beach Ice Dogs of the Pacific Division as well as the Greensboro Generals and Roanoke Express from the Southern Division. The longest home stand for Trenton is a five-game set against five different division rivals starting with the Rivermen on February 1 and finishing with the Chiefs on the 9th. The Titans will twice have to play a season-high, six consecutive games on the road. The first spanning Jan 13-28 and the second March 13-24
Their home schedule has the Titans playing nine games on Friday and twelve on Saturday. The Saturday total this season is an increase from eight the previous year. All Friday game times are 7:30 pm, with Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday times remaining at 7 pm. "Family Fun Sundays" â where select tickets for children 14 and under are $1 â will also return for five games with a start time of 3:00pm. All game times are subject to change.
The schedule contains two exceptions to the standard start times as the Titans host their "Education Day Game" on Wednesday, March 30 at 10:30am against the Rivermen and Saturday's game on March 12 versus the Bombers will feature a 12:00pm start time.
