IceGators Announce 2004-05 Schedule

Louisiana IceGators News Release
Lafayette, LA â The Louisiana IceGators 10th anniversary season slate was announced today as the ECHL officially released the 2004-05 schedule. In addition to renewing rivalries with Texas and Mississippi, the IceGators will welcome five first time visitors to the Cajundome, including the first international contest in team history. Louisiana will play division foes Texas, Mississippi, and Pensacola a total of ten games apiece. The Gators will play the Gwinnett Gladiators six times. The remaining half of the schedule will have the IceGators meet 12 different ECHL foes. IceGators fans will also be excited to find the team playing 20 home games on Friday or Saturday nights. Louisiana will begin the season visiting the Mississippi Seawolves on October 22. The home opener will be Friday night, November 5 vs. the Texas Wildcatters.
"This schedule gives us a chance to do some very creative marketing for our 10th anniversary season ," said Bruce LeVine, the IceGators Manager of Communications and Marketing. "We are planning special nights and promotions that have not been done here in the past and believe the 2004-05 season will be very special for our fans"

The IceGators will be announcing their promotional schedule for the 10th anniversary season in June. The team has already surpassed last year's total for season tickets sold with five months left until the home opener. Season tickets, Flex plans and Ice Pack vouchers are available now.
