LAST WEEK'S RESULTS:

October 28, 2015: South Carolina at Florida, 4-2 W

The South Carolina Stingrays scored three goals in the second period en route to a 4-2 win over the Florida Everblades Wednesday night at the Germain Arena. The victory snapped a four-game winless streak for the Stingrays, and earned South Carolina rookie goaltender Vitek Vanecek, who stopped 27 Florida shots, his first professional win. Derek DeBlois, Austin Fyten, Kyle Kraemer and Joey Leach scored in the win for the Stingrays.

October 30, 2015: South Carolina at Florida, 2-0 L

Anthony Peters stopped all 22 South Carolina shots he faced, and Justin Agosta scored the game-winning goal on the power play with under eight minutes to play to lead the Florida Everblades to 2-0 win over the South Carolina Stingrays last Friday at Germain Arena. The two teams took a scoreless tie into the third period. At the 11:02 mark, South Carolina's Nick Jones was assessed a holding penalty. Florida was finally able to break the scoreless tie with a power play goal. Kevin Lynch fired a cross-ice pass to Agosta on the left-side of the ice. The defenseman lifted a shot up, and over, a sliding South Carolina goaltender Vitek Vanecek to give Florida the lead.

November 1, 2015: Evansville at South Carolina, 5-2 W

Joe Devin scored two power play goals and added an assist to lead the South Carolina Stingrays to a 5-2 win over the Evansville IceMen on Sunday afternoon at the North Charleston Coliseum. The Stingrays earned the win under acting Head Coach Ryan Warsofsky, who filled in for an ill Spencer Carbery. Branden Komm stopped 23 shots in his Stingrays debut against his former club. Brett Cameron, Kyle Kraemer and Derek DeBlois also scored for the Stingrays.

UPCOMING PROMOTIONS

Tuesday, November 3 versus Florida is Ladies Night as all women 18 and up receive free admission when they show their ID at the North Charleston Coliseum Box Office. DEVIN LEADS THE WAY:

Forward Joe Devin scored a pair of goals and added an assist in Sunday's 5-2 win over Evansville. The three points were a new ECHL career high for Devin. The returning forward leads the Stingrays with eight points (three goals and five assists) in eight games this season.

KOMM SHINES IN DEBUT:

With an injury to goaltender Mark Dekanich, the Stingrays added goaltender Branden Komm to the roster last week. The former Evansville goaltender made his South Carolina debut on Sunday against his former team. Komm stopped 23 shots to earn the victory for South Carolina. Komm is in his second professional season after splitting time win Cincinnati and Evansville last year.

WELCOME BACK DEBLOIS:

Since returning from American Hockey League (AHL) last Wednesday, forward Derek DeBlois has collected three points (two goals, one assist) in his first three games of the season with the Stingrays. DeBlois, who led the club with 21 goals last season, started the year with the Lake Erie Monsters, skating in two games.
