Stingrays to Raise Funds for Kirk Daubenspeck Medical Fund on Pack the House Night

South Carolina Stingrays News Release


On Saturday, February 27 at 7:05 p.m. against the Florida Everblades, the Stingrays will sell exclusive Kirk Daubenspeck #29 t-shirts (attached photo) to raise funds for the Kirk Daubenspeck Medical Fund. Daubenspeck was injured last Thursday in a major car accident near Madison, WI. He is currently in stable condition in a Madison-area hospital.

A seventh-round draft pick by the Philadelphia Flyers in the 1992 NHL Entry Draft, Daubenspeck played for the Stingrays from 1999-2006 going 109-56-14 in 183 games with a 2.64 goals-against average and a .919 save percentage and helped the Stingrays capture their second Kelly Cup title in 2001. He was inducted into the Stingrays Hall of Fame in 2007.
