BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - The Ontario Reign, proud affiliate of the NHL ‚¬â„¢s Los Angeles Kings, beat the Bakersfield Condors 4-2 before a crowd of 4,028 at Rabobank Arena Sunday night.

Aaron Lewadniuk finished off a well-executed play to give the Reign a 1-0 lead at 10:16 of the first period. Kyle Kraemer took a feed behind the net from Michael Pelech and distracted the Bakersfield defense. Lewadniuk snuck unnoticed into the slot and one-timed a pass from Kraemer past Josh Tordjman.

Guillaume Lefebvre tied it at one at 2:01 of the second period before Shawn Germain re-established Ontario ‚¬â„¢s one-goal lead at 10:17. Jordan Morrison made a backhand pass to Germain who fired it just inside the far post to make it 2-1. Bakersfield tied it at two with a goal by Michael Gergen at 11:35. The Reign then jumped out to a 4-2 lead on goals by David Walker and Chaz Johnson. Walker notched a power play goal at 13:49 with a shot from the top of the left circle and Johnson finished off a two-on-one with Morrison at 18:39. Morrison assisted on all three Reign goals of the second period.

Neither team scored in the third period and the Reign won it by a final of 4-2.
