Stingrays Weekly: Pack the House Night this Saturday Against Everblades

The South Carolina Stingrays squared up against the Greenville Road Warriors in a four-game series this week for a record of 2-1-1-0. The series kicked off Tuesday evening at the North Charleston Coliseum with the Stingrays grabbing a 3-2 victory. Defenseman Derek Keller scored the game-winning goal and his first of the season midway through the third period. The series moved to the Bi-Lo Center for games two and three on Friday and Saturday with Greenville prevailing 3-1 and 4-3 in overtime. Forwards Trent Campbell (1g, 2a) and Rob Ricci (1g, 1a) netted multi-point games Saturday night in the Rays ‚¬â„¢ final regular season visit to Greenville, SC. The Stingrays wrapped up the series with a 4-2 win Sunday. Forward Tommy Goebel and Keller had two assists and goaltender Shane Owen improved to 3-0-1-0 against the Road Warriors with a 25 save performance.

Forward Rob Ricci ranks 19 in the league with 46 points (21g, 25a), second in the ECHL with four shootout goals and tied for second with five shorthanded points (3g, 2a).

Forward Pierre-Luc O ‚¬â„¢Brien is tied for second in the ECHL with three shorthanded goals and tied for fourth with four shorthanded points (3g, 1a).

Goaltender Todd Ford sits 11 with a 2.69 goals-against average and netminder Jared DeMichiel is 10 with a 2.64 GAA.

Forward Jordan Pietrus is fifth among ECHL rookies with 134 shots.

Defenseman Josh Godfrey is first among ECHL defensemen with 13 goals, nine power play markers and 147 shots and 16 with 24 points (13g, 11a).

Defenseman Nate Kiser is fourth among league D-men with 32 minor penalties.
