Stingrays Sign Forward Patrick Cullen

North Charleston, SC - The South Carolina Stingrays, proud ECHL affiliate of the Washington Capitals, announced today that the team has signed forward Patrick Cullen. In keeping with club policy, details of the agreement were not disclosed.

Cullen, 23, recently completed his senior season at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute scoring six goals and eight assists for 14 points in 33 games. In four seasons at R.P.I., the Washington, D.C., native recorded 62 points (24g, 38a) in 136 contests and was named to the ECAC Hockey All-Rookie Team, ECAC Hockey All-Academic Team and received the team's Outstanding Freshman Award. Before joining the NCAA, Cullen spent the 2007-08 season with the Indiana Ice of the United States Hockey League netting eight goals and 18 assists for 26 points in 58 games.

The Stingrays continue a six-game homestand on Friday, March 16 against the Greenville Road Warriors at 7:05 p.m. the North Charleston Coliseum.
