
Reign Gets Its Wings

ONTARIO, Calif.- The Ontario Reign, proud affiliate of the NHL's Los Angeles Kings, have acquired right wing Jason Beeman and claimed left wing Devin DiDiomete off of waivers.
Beeman, 26, played in 21 games this season with the Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees of the Central Hockey League, recording 9 points (2g, 7a) and 30 penalty minutes. He recorded 43 points (23g, 20a) and 107 penalty minutes in 44 games with the Mississippi Surge of the Southern Professional Hockey League where he won the Presidents Cup as league champion. The Los Angeles native played with two Reign-related ECHL teams in the past as he appeared briefly with the Long Beach Ice Dogs at the end of the 2005-06 season and played 66 games with the Texas Wildcatters in the 2006-07 season, recording 24 points (8g, 16a) and 143 penalty minutes.
DiDiomete, 23, was selected by Calgary Flames in round 7 (#187 overall) in the 2006 NHL Entry Draft. The winger has spent the 2011-12 season split between the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins and Houston Aeros of the American Hockey League, and the Wheeling Nailers and Chicago Express (his most recent team) of the ECHL. He recorded 24 points (10g, 14a) and 242 penalty minutes in 36 games with the Express. The Stratford, Ontario native recorded 10 points (6g, 4a) and 303 penalty minutes with the AHL's Hartford Wolf Pack/CT Whale during the 2010-11. He also played for the Wolf Pack in 2008-09 and 2009-10 seasons and the Charlotte Checkers of the ECHL in 2009-10.
