Gladiators Sign Defenseman Sean Duddy

The Gwinnett Gladiators have signed defenseman Sean Duddy.

Duddy completed his senior season at The Ohio State University where he earned 14 points (one goal, 13 assists) in 35 games with the Buckeyes. In four collegiate seasons, Duddy earned 24 points (two goals, 22 assists) in 124 career games.

The Ann Arbor, Michigan native was a two-time team captain at Ohio State. He was the 2009 Coaches Award winner, a three-time Ohio State Scholar-Athlete and two-time Academic All-Big Ten selection and Big Ten Distinguished Scholar while with the Buckeyes.

Prior to attending Ohio State, Duddy skated one season with Wichita Falls Wildcats of the North American Hockey League in 2007-08. He earned five points (two goals, three assists) in 56 games with the Wildcats. While with Wichita Falls, Duddy was named the Wildcats' Defensive Player of the Year.

Duddy should be available for the Gladiators for tomorrow's 7:05 p.m. tilt against the Cincinnati Cyclones at the Arena at Gwinnett Center.

The Gladiators are the ECHL Affiliate of the Buffalo Sabres and the Phoenix Coyotes of the National Hockey League and are members of the ECHL, the Premier "AA" Hockey League and play all home games at the 11,355-seat Arena at Gwinnett Center, located just off I-85 on Sugarloaf Parkway in Duluth.
