
Dollar Friday, St. Patrick's Day Jerseys, and Skate with the Team

Hoffman Estates, IL - The Chicago Express, proud member of the ECHL and proud affiliate of the NHL's Columbus Blue Jackets, welcome in the Wheeling Nailers, Toledo Walleye, and Trenton Titans to the Sears Centre Arena for four games this week.
It all kicks off tomorrow, Wednesday, March 14, as the Wheeling Nailers are in town to take on the Express. As with all of our games, fans can participate in the Chuck-A-Puck game during the second intermission. Chuck-A-Pucks are on sale in the concourse during the game, and can be purchased for $1 per puck, or $5 for six pucks. Prizes include tickets to future Express games, an autographed replica jersey, and an oil change from Biggers Chevrolet. Winners of the Express tickets and oil change are also entered to win a trip from Apple Vacations or a big screen TV.
Following the game on Wednesday, two Express players will be joining fans in the club for autographs. Stop by and meet two of the guys, and get pictures and autographs. A club ticket is not required to take part in the autograph session.

The popular Dollar Friday deals are back on Friday, March 16, with the Toledo Walleye visiting the Sears Centre Arena. Fans can get beers and hot dogs for just one dollar each until midway through the third period. The special deals are available at the portable concession stands, and Season Ticket Holders can also purchase the specially priced beers and hot dogs at the Season Ticket Holder only lines. Please be sure to have your Season Ticket Holder VIP cards ready when using those lines.
Before the game on Friday, for the first time ever, a band will be performing the National Anthem, as members of the Springman Middle School Band will play the anthem from the ice. Following the National Anthem, a member from the Willow Creek Community Church will drop the ceremonial first puck.
At the first intermission on Friday, the Admirals Squirt Hockey club will hit the ice for an Intermission Showcase. The showcase will feature a scrimmage between members of the Admirals hockey club. Fans can play the Chuck-A-Puck game during the second intermission, and following the game two players from the Chicago Express will be available for pictures and autographs in the club.

The following night, Saturday, March 17, celebrate St. Patrick's Day with the Chicago Express as they battle the Trenton Titans for the first time on home ice! In honor of the holiday, the Express will be serving special green beer at the portable concession stands. Fans can also dine on Corned Beef sandwiches at the game. The Express will also be wearing special St. Patrick's Day jerseys, which will be auctioned off live f ollowing the game to benefit the American Brain Tumor Association.
During the first intermission on Saturday's game, players from the Maulers Squirts will compete in a scrimmage during the Intermission Showcase. The second intermission will feature skaters from the Elite Stars Figure Skating, a Downs Syndrome Awareness group. The Elite Stars have partnered with GiGi's Playhouse to raise funds for Downs Syndrome Awareness. Fans can participate in Chuck-A-Puck during the second intermission as well.
Following Saturday's game, the special St. Patrick's Day jerseys will be auctioned off live in the club. Anyone who wishes to participate in the jersey auction is invited to enter the club immediately following the game. A club ticket is not required to take part in the auction. Proceeds from the jersey auction will go to benefit the American Brain Tumor Association, and all winning bids will receive a receipt that can be submitted for tax benefits. The Express wrap up the final game of their four game week on Sunday, once again against the Titans. Sunday is Star Wars Night at the Sears Centre Arena, and Star Wars characters will be at the game. Fans can get pictures and autographs with the characters throughout the contest.
During the first intermission, the Star Wars characters will hit the ice for a broomball match, and as always during the second intermission, fans can have a chance to win great prizes by participating in Chuck-A-Puck.
Following Sunday's game, everyone in attendance is invited for a free skate with the team event on the ice. Limited skate rental is available, so fans are encouraged to bring their own. Don't miss your chance to hop on the ice with members of the Chicago Express and get pictures and autographs with the team.
The puck drops at 4:00 pm on Sunday, with the doors opening at 3:00 pm.
Fans are also invited to enjoy Trax Town, courtesy of the Great American Insurance Group, during every home game. Admission to Trax Town is free with your ticket to the game, and includes fun hockey related games such as air hockey, bubble hockey, Gockey, inflatable puck shots, and NHL 2012 on different video game platforms.
