Titans Claim Fletcher, Release McCreary, Recchia

TRENTON, N.J. - The Trenton Titans announced the acquisition of defenseman Scott Fletcher via waiver claim from Florida and the release of defensemen Bill McCreary and Domenic Recchia.

Fletcher, a 6-foot-3, 215-pound native of Detroit, appeared in 27 games with the Everblades and five with the Toledo Walleye this season. He has compiled one assist and 69 penalty minutes. Fletcher also has ECHL experience with the Reading Royals and AHL time with the Providence Bruins.

"I'm certainly pleased to acquire a veteran defenseman with a physical presence,'' said Titans head coach Vince Williams.

McCreary appeared in 10 games with the Titans and Recchia seven. Each recorded one assist.

The Titans play in Kalamazoo Friday and visit Chicago Saturday and Sunday, There are three remaining home games, Reading (March 24), which is Irish Heritage Night, Elmira (March 28) and Wheeling (March 30), which is Fan Appreciation Night.
