March 13, 2012 - ECHL (ECHL)
Las Vegas Wranglers News Release
Las Vegas - The Las Vegas Wranglers announced today that defenseman Jamie Fritsch has been called up to the American Hockey League's Houston Aeros. This will be Fritsch's third call-up of the 2011-12 season.
Fritsch, 27, has collected nine points (1 goal, 8 assists) and 62 penalty minutes in 42 games with the Wranglers this season. The 6'2'', 195-pound blueliner played one game with the AHL's Bridgeport Sound Tigers in November, and appeared in three games with the Aeros last month. A native of Odenton, Md., Fritsch made his professional hockey debut with the NHL's Philadelphia Flyers at the end of the 2008-09 season. Wranglers goaltender Joe Fallon is currently with the Aeros after being called up in early March, and left wing Josh Lunden was released by Houston yesterday.
The Wranglers finish a nine-game road series this weekend against the Stockton Thunder and Bakersfield Condors. When the team returns home to Orleans Arena on Sunday, March 18, Wranglers players will shave their heads on the ice to raise funds and awareness for the St. Baldrick's Foundation. To donate to your favorite player, Head Coach Ryan Mougenel, or Wranglers front office staff, please visit the team page here .
Group packages are on sale now at (702) 471-PUCK. Individual tickets to Wranglers games are available by phone at (702) 284-7777, and can be purchased in person at all Coast Casino properties, Town Square shopping center or online at www.orleansarena.com. The Wranglers play all 36 regular season home games at the Orleans Arena, located next to the Orleans Hotel and Casino at 4500 W. Tropicana Ave.
