
Stingrays Game Preview: Stingrays Ring in the New Year Tonight against Florida

North Charleston, S.C. - The South Carolina Stingrays ring in the New Year against the Florida Everblades tonight at 6:05 at the North Charleston Coliseum. Tonight is the sixth of 11 meetings between to the two East-Division rivals.

Series Breakdown:
The Stingrays hold a 1-4-0-0 head-to-head record against the Everblades this season and look to snap a three-game losing skid against their East-Division rivals. The sides last met for a two-game series at the Coliseum on November 14 and 15 with the Everblades skating away with 4-1 and 5-4 victories. All time, the Stingrays are 71-66-16 against the Everblades.
Stingrays Stay Hot:
The Stingrays are riding an eight-game point streak (7-0-1-0) and are unbeaten in 13 of their last 14 games (12-1-1-0).
Streaking into NYE:
Seven Stingrays enter tonight's matchup on scoring, winning or unbeaten streaks. Forward Derek DeBlois has two goals and four assists in his last five games, forwards Wayne Simpson (two goals, seven assists) and Brandon Hynes (one goal, three assists) are each on four-game streaks and forward Braden Pimm (three goals, one assist) and defenseman Wade Epp (three assists) are on three-game streaks. Goaltender Adam Morrison is on a five-game winning streak and netminder Jeff Jakaitis is unbeaten in his last nine games (7-0-1-1).

The Stingrays begin a three-game road trip on Thursday, January 8 against the Gwinnett Gladiators at 7:00 p.m. at The Arena at Gwinnett Center in Duluth, Georgia and return to the North Charleston Coliseum for a three-game in three-day home weekend starting Friday, January 16 against the Toledo Walleye at 7:05 p.m. Grab a Friday Family Four Pack including four tickets to the game, four hotdogs, four sodas and large popcorn for $55!
