
Americans Host Annual New Year's Eve Game Tonight vs. Rapid City

Allen, Texas - The Allen Americans host the Rapid City Rush tonight at 7:05 pm in the annual New Year's Eve game at Allen Event Center.
The Americans are coming off back to back losses for the first time all season. Allen (19-5-1-2) leads the ECHL Central Division by six points over Quad City, with three games in hand.
Jack Combs leads the ECHL in points with 47 (17 goals and 30 assists.) Combs is also tied for the league lead in Game Winning Goals with six. Jamie Schaafsma has a four-game goal streak and is now up to seven goals on the season. Rylan Schwartz has a three-game point streak, with a goal and three assists over that stretch.
The Rush come into tonight's game picking up a come from behind road win last night in Tulsa, 5-3. Former Americans net minder, Raphael Girard was between the pipes for the win. Girard came on in relief of Danny Battochio, who gave up three goals in six shots faced, while Girard stopped all 19 pucks fired on net for his second win of the season.
