U-PARTY AT THE PLAZA: THE PLACE TO GET FIRED UP FOR STOCKTON HEAT HOCKEY

Join the all-new, U-Party at the Plaza Pregame Party hosted at the University Plaza Waterfront Hotel during the pregame party starting at 4:00 p.m. The pregame party, which is FREE to attend, features food and drink specials from Delta Bistro, games in the courtyard and tonight, local musician Darien Fields will perform! Fans can also enjoy games and activities in the courtyard where ping-pong and cornhole will be open to all and free to play on a first come, first serve basis.

Plus, Channel Brewing Co. will be debuting a brand new, Stockton Heat themed beer called Breakaway, which will be available on tap all-season long at Delta Bistro, while also serving some local favorite Channel Brews at the party.

Fans can also purchase Churwaffle corn, sold pregame at the Hotel courtesy of Burgess Brothers, with proceeds of the sales being donated all-season long to St. Joseph's Foundation.

STICK IT TO CANCER

Tonight is Stick it To Cancer Night presented by Dignity Health St. Joseph's Medical Center, an event, which serves as a fundraiser for St. Joseph's Foundation, that helps raise awareness and funds through a portion of group ticket sales, silent auction, jersey auction and mystery puck sales to help those who are affected by the disease in our community. The Heat will also be wearing special, lavender jerseys sponsored by Dignity Health St. Joseph's Medical Center, which will be auctioned off through the silent auction and postgame live auction.

The silent auction during the game is stationed by the South Entrance in front of the team store where items from the likes of the University Plaza Waterfront Hotel, Delta Sierra Beverage, Fat City BBQ, In-Shape Health Clubs, Shine Yoga, Violent Gentleman, Smitty's Wings and Things, Limitless Escape Games, 18.21 Man Made, the Stockton Ports and much more will be available, along with select Heat player's jerseys!

The live auction will take place following the game in sections 126 and 127. Fans will have the chance to bid on jerseys in the live auction and then winners of the jerseys will get to come onto the ice and take a photo and meet the player. Ten jerseys will be auctioned off in the live auction including Oliver Kylington, Spencer Foo, Morgan Klimchuk, Curtis Lazar, Alan Quine, Andrew Mangiapane, Jon Gillies, Adam Ollas Mattsson, Ryan Lomberg and Tyler Graovac.

Mystery autographed pucks will also be on sale for $15 up on the Fan Deck near the Heat Prize Wheel with all proceeds benefiting St. Joseph's Foundation.

During the game, fans can purchase tickets to the 50/50 raffle, with proceeds going to the winner and the other half also being donated to St. Joseph's Foundation. In addition, the Dignity Health St. Joseph's Foundation Spirit Club will donate $200 for every goal the Heat score (up to $1,000 total). Upon entering Stockton Arena, fans will receive a "Stick it To Cancer" card courtesy of Ray Morgan Company to use as we recognize in-game those impacted by the disease. After the game ends, fans leaving the game will also receive a Stick it To Cancer Magnet courtesy of Dignity Health St. Joseph's Medical Center.

After the game, fans can also stick around for a postgame concert from local band, Dirty Pillows, on the Puck Drop Party Deck just after the live jersey auction concludes. The post-game concert is free, but a $5 donation to the American Cancer Society is encouraged.

TONIGHT

The Heat meet up with the now Central Division's San Antonio for the only time on home ice this season. The Heat have enjoyed a terrific three year's of matchups with the former Pacific Division rival, having gone 9-3-0-2, including a 5-1-0-1 record against the Rampage at Stockton Arena.

WHO TO WATCH

Call it a hunch but tonight, with the Heat power-play clicking on all cylinders, and the fact that four-time AHL All-Star Matt Taormina hasn't recorded a point for the Heat yet, makes him the player to watch for tonight's game.

Taormina is still looking for his first point since joining the Flames organization after a preseason trade sent Brett Kulak to the Montreal Canadiens and Taormina along with Rinat Valiev came back the other way.

The 32-year-old defenseman in his 10th full-season as a pro recorded 4 goals and 48 assists last year with the Laval Rocket, and while with the Rocket suffered a preseason injury that kept him out of the lineup to start the year. Now getting back his conditioning and rhythm, Taormina, who's lowest points total in the AHL is 26 back in 2013-14 when he split the season with the Syracuse Crunch and Springfield Falcons, still is pointless in his first 5 games of the season.

MANGIAPANE LIGHTING IT UP

It's been a great start to the season for Heat winger Andrew Mangiapane! Since October 12, Mangiapane has gone streaking, with seven-straight games with points including his team-leading four multi-point efforts on October 12 in Ontario, October 20 against San Jose, a day later in San Jose and this past Wednesday against Bakersfield.

In that span he recorded his 50th AHL assist and is now just 2 points away from recording his 100th AHL point and just 5 goals from his 50thAHL goal. In his last seven games, Mangiapane now has 4 goals and 7 assists for 11 points.

WELCOME BACK SPOONS

For three years, Tyler Wotherspoon patrolled the blueline for the Stockton Heat, having been named the Defensive Player of the Year for the team back in 2016 and suiting up in 176 games for the Stockton Heat, third most behind Morgan Klimchuk and Oliver Kylington all-time while also having recorded the seventh most points (65) in Stockton Heat team history.

This past offseason, he inked a contract with the St. Louis Blues and has now played 11 games for his new club, the San Antonio Rampage, recording 3 points.

WHAT SPECIAL TEAMS YOU HAVE

The Heat power play has been really good, scoring in seven of their nine games, posting a 10 for 39 (25.6%) conversion, the seventh best power-play in the league.

The only times the Heat fail to score on the PP this season were their two games in Bakersfield where they failed to capitalize on their combined 4 powerplay chances, but did manage to score two on the PP on Wednesday against Bako.

Stockton also has back-to-back shorthanded goals with Ryan Lomberg assisting on Anthony Peluso's on Saturday in Bako and scoring his own on Wednesday.

The Heat are tied for the sixth most shorthanded goals this season.

INTERESTING FACT

The Heat are 3-2-0-0 on the team's cancer events and are currently on a three-game cancer game win streak with a pair of wins vs. San Diego during 2016-17 and last year against Texas.

Including ECHL totals, Stockton is 17-6-1-2 during the cancer events.
