Heat Fall to San Antonio But Stick It to Cancer by Raising Funds and Awareness

Stockton Heat News Release
STOCKTON, CALIF. - The 6,732 fans in the building for Stick it to Cancer Night presented by Dignity Health St. Joseph's Medical Center helped raise funds and awareness for those impacted by cancer, but the Heat couldn't get past the San Antonio Rampage as the visitors took the win 4-0. After an entertaining but scoreless first period, Stockton received three-straight chances for their seventh ranked power-play unit to try and get on the board, but the Rampage's fifth best penalty kill was up to the task, killing off all three opportunities. That may have swung the momentum, as San Antonio was able to break the game open on their first power play to take a 1-0 lead. They'd add to their lead 2:27 later on a partial breakaway and take a 3-0 lead with their second power-play goal on just their second chance of the night. Unfortunately for the Heat, they couldn't mount the third period comeback as San Antonio netminder Jordan Binnington closed the door to record his first shutout of the season as his club shutout the Heat 4-0.
The Heat head to San Jose for a 7:00 p.m. Monday night game at the SAP Center taking on the San Jose Barracuda. Fans can watch the stream the game on their phones, tablets and O.T.T. Devices through the all-new streaming service, AHLTV. The Heat then return home to open a home-and-home series with the Ontario Reign at 7:00 p.m. on Friday at Stockton Arena. It's the first Fry Day of the season, presented by Golden State Restaurant Group McDonald's. Fans can bring their receipts from participating locations to the Stockton Arena Ticket Office for a buy one, get one free ticket!
