Sterling is CHL Goalie of the Month

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK --- The Central Hockey League announced today that RiverKings goalie Larry Sterling has been named the CHL Sher-Wood Goalie of the Month. Oklahoma City's Mike Burgoyne was also named the Player of the Month. Both players will be on the ice tonight when the RiverKings and Blazers play at the Ford Center in Oklahoma City at 7:35.

Sterling, who was the Oakley Goalie of the Week for 10/23-10/29, posted a 2-0-2 record, a 2.07 goals against and a .930 save percentage in the first five games of the season. Sterling started four of those games and played the final two periods in the other.

The native of Lake Orion, MI is in his third pro season and his first with the RiverKings. He signed with the team after playing his first two campaigns with the Fort Worth Brahmas.

Burgoyne leads the CHL with nine assists and co-leads the league with 11 points.
