BOISE, Idaho - Jeremy Mylymok scored the tying goal with 1:25 left in the third period and the Idaho Steelheads rallied past the Bakersfield Condors with a 4-3 shootout win Tuesday night at the Bank of America Centre.

The Steelheads had a five-on-three power play midway through the first, and Darrell Hay capitalized with his first goal of the year. He took a pass from Dave Cornacchia and beat Condors netminder Peter Hirsch with a hard slapshot from outside the circle. Bakersfield also had a five-on-three opportunity for nearly four minutes shortly after, but Idaho managed to successfully kill it off.

Idaho scored the second goal of the game at 8:38 of the second period, again with a two-man advantage. Chris Marinucci passed the puck under a sliding defenseman to Dylan Gyori who got it up high over Hirsch. Then things got a little harried behind the Bakersfield bench, and head coach Paul Kelly drew a game-misconduct and a two-minute minor giving Idaho yet another two-man advantage. However, Hirsch kept the Condors in the game coming up with several big saves. Bakersfield scored their first of the night when Kevin Riehl got a nice pass over to Vince Malts who tapped it past Idaho's Dan Ellis.

Bakersfield took a one-goal lead at 17:04 of the third when Paul Rosebush passed the puck from behind the net to Jason Jackman who put it past Idaho goalie Dan Ellis. With only 1:25 remaining in the game, and with Ellis pulled for an extra attacker, Jeremy Mylymok scored the tying goal on a backhand that bounced past Hirsch.

Bakersfield outshot Idaho 5-3 in the four-on-four overtime period, but neither team scored sending the game to a shootout. The Steelheads tallied twice in the shootout (Chris Gobert and Jan Kopecky), while the Condors scored only once (Daniel Karlsson).

Idaho goaltender Dan Ellis remains perfect in shootouts this season, and improves his overall record to 2-2-0.

Idaho improves its season record to 4-2-0 (8 points) while Bakersfield falls to 1-4-1 (3 points).
